I was always obsessed with food, but recently I got also obsessed with cooking. I only hope that when I qualify from a cooking rookie into a chef I'll still be wearing the same size ;-P.

Ina Garten's Mocha Chocolate Iceberg Cake
Softer and creamier than ice cream, a perfect, simple summer dessert
Have bookmarked this for this weekend. Hubby and kids are in for a treat! I'm going the store-bought cookie route this time, but I'll be using my homemade Kahlua. Yum!
Hi there, I saw your recipe from someone on Tumblr. I'd like to try this recipe with my mum. We're Muslims and aren't allowed to have any alcohol consumption. So, is there any substitute for the liqueur or I can just leave it out? And are the calories really matter?
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I think that you can simply ommit the liqueur and the cake will still taste great :-). If you end up making it, let me know how you liked it!
p.s., the calories unfrotuately matter, if you gain weight as easily as I do :-(
I am a huge Ina Garten Fan. I am have been eyeing this recipe for a long time and plan on making it for the holidays when my family gets here. What is amazing is that you baked the chocolate cookies yourself instead of Tate's. When I bake, they are mostly Ina's recipes. Just cannot go wrong.
