Afterthoughts
- First of all, I really LOVE the edible container idea! Thanks, Renata, for the challenge and for all the creative suggestions!
- I tried many different bowls, but I guess this was not my month – they all fell apart. The bread bowl was the only survival :-). I can’t wait to see the posts of the other Daring cooks with their recipes!
Blog-checking lines: Renata of Testado, Provado & Aprovado! was our Daring Cooks’ April 2011 hostess. Renata challenged us to think “outside the plate” and create our own edible containers! Sorry to hear that the other containers didn't work for you but the breadbowl with the Greek salad looks smashing so tempting well done on this challenge lovely photograph as well.
ReplyDeleteCheers from Audax in Sydney Australia.
That is gorgeous! Sorry your other choices fell apart, but this one looks perfect :)
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love a dish that you can eat- literally! Great interpretation of the challenge, you've executed it very elegantly.
ReplyDeleteYour edible bowl came out perfect looking! I would love a bite of the bowl with each bite of salad, or even eat the salad then break off pieces of the bowl afterwards.
ReplyDeleteFantastic job on the challenge :D
Lovely salad! The bread bowl looks fantastic so forget all the other attempts. Well done :)
ReplyDeleteNice job on this DC challenge! I'm still mulling over what to do for my DB challenge.
ReplyDeleteI, too, love the idea of the edible container, but found the execution a bit tricky. This salad looks divine, though, and the bread bowl is the perfect compliment!
ReplyDeleteThat salad looks really cool and yummy! That edible soup/salad bowl looks really tasty!
ReplyDeleteThis looks stunning! You did a fabulous job!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so beautiful! Definitely a winning recipe. And I can't believe how much they really look like actual bowls. I am sure it tastes just as great and is a loter healthier than fried shells that they serve salads in sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThe salad in the bread bowl looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the other containers, I have had quite a few edible container ideas that didn't work also, but I always take them as a lesson learned. Your final dish looks amazing with the Greek salad (yum!) and your photo is so beautiful, professional! Thanks so much for participating!
ReplyDeletethis is a charming idea !!! I love it !!
